Warum wird der Server des Forums immer langsamer

  • Heute hab ich ich massive Probleme beim Aufrufen des Forums. Fast alle Seiten brauchen über 20 Sekunden, selbst die Startseite benötigt mindestens 5 Sekunden. Zum Testen habe ich Seiten von Google, Shell und Ecomento aufgerufen, alle drei unter 0,2 Sekunden Reaktionszeit, also an meinem System liegt es nicht. Heute melden Chrome und Firefox, dass der Server zu lange brauche für eine Antwort. Früher kamen die Seiten wenigstens nach 3 Sekunden, was auch schon sehr langsam ist, aber seit einigen Tagen scheint mir euer Server echte Probleme zu haben.

    Seit Wochen schon bemerke ich, das immer häufiger Seiten des Forums nicht erreichbar sind. Zumindest in der Nacht kommen dann Fehlermeldungen, die aber keine Aussagekraft haben. Vermutlich reorganisiert sich dann gerade die Datenbank. Tagsüber dauert es immer länger, je mehr Mitglieder online sind.


    Ist eine Verbesserung in Sicht?



    Edit: nach etwa einer Stunde hat sich die Reaktionszeit erst wieder verbessert nun brauchen die Seiten aber immer noch 3 Sekunden im Schnitt. (Alle Messungen ohne Cache!)

    Nun ist es wieder normal, der Ping ist wieder bei 12 ms . Die Anwortzeiten sind aber trotzdem viel zu langsam. Entweder wird die Seite von Außen angegriffen oder die Serverleistung / Internetanbindung reicht einfach nicht aus. Wird der Server privat betrieben oder habt ihr einen Provider? Wäre es ein Provider, solltet ihr den schnellstens wechseln.

  • Danke für den Hinweis. Nein, der Server ist nicht privat, ist aber ein Shared Hoster. Wenn also zu Spitzenzeiten der Server überlastet ist, kann es zu Verzögerungen kommen. Zu welchen Seiten kommt der Ladefehler denn? Ich selber prüfe die Seite jeden Tag mehrmals (Desktop und Mobile Version) und sehe nur leichte Verzögerungen und 404 oder 403 gibt es so gut wie nie.

  • Hmm. Hatte ich noch nie :-) Werde ich weiter verfolgen! Bitte noch die Links nennen wo das passiert. Das wäre noch sehr wichtig.

  • Wahrscheinlich werden zu dem Zeitpunkt viele Scripte und BackUps auf dem Server ausgeführt. So lange es nicht in den "normalen Zeiten" übermäßig auftritt, sehe ich keinen Sinn darin den Provider zu wechseln. Dies würde auch zusätzliche Kosten bedeuten. Ich hoffe du kommst klar Peety.
